    crazy maze of a melon

    syrup, beautiful syrup!!

    Melissa_Tulip seems to think I have a thing for sweets and I have no idea where she gets that from?

    massive domino spiral created with Jesse

    And snow jokes because I may as well laugh

    the plow is still broken and 7-14 inches will be too much to ignore (see previous post)so we plan on driving up and down the driveway all night to keep it packed down.

  • A Hair Repair Affair

    Miracle of Miracles!

    ~~~~~
    Roo's hair has been repaired!
    After the hair cutting incident last week my first instinct was to take Roo to the salon and have her hair cut short, all pixie-like and blended.  Trev, however, was hesitant about the idea because he adores her long locks and thought we should wait before doing anything drastic.  A few days later, I decided to try evening it out in the back by thinning the cut area and laying it into what was left of her long strands to blend it all.
    And it worked, it did!!
    After
    (insert the sounds of angels singing, HERE.)
    P.S. feeling kind of posty today, don't say I didn't warn you.
    I Always Wanted A Woman's Neck
    you know the one where the clavicle is raised slightly and you can see the heartbeat,
     see the beauty in the firm bone, see the thin skin pressed lightly upon the neck.
    I always wanted to have this neck but now that I am woman,  now that my time has come
    I see that it is only flesh, full of imperfection and wanting and
    small blemishes.
    but my necklace says "LIVE" and I do
    For I am beautiful just the way i am.
     thanks CLMama , for making me this gorgeous necklace!
  • my little boy is growing up (sniff), who knew 7.5 would come so fast?!
  • Serenity NOW!!!!
    POW!
    (grumble-mania)
    ~~~~~

    • it snowed ALL night and we have 16 inches so far with more to come (it's falling 2 inches an hour) and our truck died in the driveway while plowing.  Now we have too much snow for anyone to plow up our giant hill of a drive and so a tow truck cannot get up here and we are stuck, stuck, stuck.

    • The power keeps going off and on, i'm hoping it stays on

    • I am hormonal

    • Just found out the windmill is not guaranteed as there are three families who qualify for the grant and there is only enough funding for 1-2.  Last week we were told that we were "getting it", guess there was a mix-up with funding.  We are still in the running, though, and we do have the perfect location.  Fingers crossed!!!!!!

    • Roo has a cold and is cranky and wants to watch Pink Panther but the TV keeps going off in the middle of her show

    • We are low on cheese

    and this, the proverbial cherryontop:

    gasp

    oh no, oh no, oh no

    (it's a "Billy Ray Cyrus meets Natalie Portman" do)

    SOB, someone pick me up off the floor, please?!?

    P.S. Jesse helped

  • I Love The Onion!!

    WASHINGTON, DC—Though critics have argued that he does not understand the futility of his current situation, President Bush announced today that he has no plans to remove his head from its current position: wedged painfully between two balusters on a White House staircase.

    Enlarge Image Bush Refuses

    Bush has refused to budge from his position.

    "Setting a timetable for withdrawal of my head would send mixed messages about why I put my head here in the first place," Bush said at a press conference on the Grand Staircase. "I am going to finish what I set out to accomplish here, no matter how unpopular my decision may be, or how much my head hurts while stuck between these immovable stairway posts."

     Snow, Wonderful Mail, Kool-aid, & Self Portrait Monday

    (with exciting news at bottom)

    ~~~~~
    It is snowing on the 2nd of April and while I am craving spring deeply, I don't mind.  It is only weather and the snow makes for interesting light as the sun falls on the worn wood floors.  A few more days to curl up by the fire will not harm us; there are still board games to play and cookies to bake and books to read.
    Mail Goodness
    My Mil is selling her home and has been sending us boxes of amazing things in preparation for her move.
    She sent Roo a box of vintage doll clothing (some from the 50's and some from the 40"s)
    She sent this wonderful cream and sugar set that belonged to Trevor's Grandmother
    it's love, I tell you
    Kool-Aid As Dye
    Jesse wanted to dye his hair blue with kool-aid but it turned greenish and mostly colored his skin
    (he considers this a fringe benefit)
    Self Portrait Bonus (left over from last month)
    Exciting News
    We are getting the windmill!  Do you remember a while back when I talked about getting a grant for one? The engineers are coming tomorrow to survey the land and look for the best spot to put it. How exciting is that?!  This means so much to me, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am. Now all this hot air coming out of my mouth will be put to practical use.
              P.S. I am not sure who won the poll over at the theologians cafe but it was very close at 10:00 I just read that I lost by three votes but I am so grateful to all of you for voting and supporting me.  How lucky am I ?!
    You Rock, and I raise my coffee mug to you.
