  • And Now She is Nearly Six

  •

    The Fields, Fall, Frequent Frolicking

Now the fields have been cut and the hills are rolling and inviting and we cannot stay away. We walk everywhere and it feels divine

Trevor comes with us because he is mostly home now after a long summer of fieldwork and we are glad

     we run because we can

this is how soft the hills are

    skeletal pod party

this skin is a memory, a bittersweet thing

now we can sit in the grasses

and the milkweed has been FREED

it is only the whole world, here you can hold it for a bit

barrel racing meets clothing fling meets wild hollering contest

    acorn top as cap

the first frost came last week but flowers remain

it is still green but the leaves are turning as I write this

Is this a dream, do I really get to live the life I always dreamed I would?

    yes, the answer is yes.

  • I am learning to let go.
