These are really neat amphibians: they live 3 or 4 yrs on land and than return to the pond to live another decade! they also use light sensitive magnetic compass to return to their home pond! – But i’m sure *someone* already told you all that right? (i have no degree though, i just read it in the “JOURNEYS” magazine- Appalachian trail mag-)
