A Few Dreams
(brain miscellany)
~We take our book business on the road. We get an RV, fill up part of it with books and food and the kids and the dog and start driving. We get internet on the road and so are able to travel around the US, stopping at book sales and selling from the RV as we drive. This way we are able to see the countryside with our kids, pay the bills, buy more books and eat a lot of chips.
~I start running. Every day I run a little more and soon I am faster and faster and can zip around everywhere. I would be faster than my kids and so proud. I could call people up and say, “no need to pick me up, I will just run on over there!”. This would come in handy because I would probably be able to jump higher, too.
~I make all of our clothes; everything we would want to wear for an entire year. I sew cute little things for Roo and Jesse and knit up the rest. In the dream, Trev looks so handsome in his handknit sweater and I knit while admiring him. The cuteness factor of the entire family goes up 10 whole points. This dream does not include shoes but in a pinch I could felt up some slippers.
~There is also the dream where I am writing and taking photographs without concern for money (no bills to pay) or time and I do this for an entire year. Highlights of this dream include staying up late and sleeping in, wearing yoga pants all day long and wearing cute hats to hide the bedhead. I am not sure what the kids are doing in this dream but they are awfully quiet and I am able to focus.
What Do You Dream About?

I dream I can breathe underwater.:sleepy:
I dream of ravens, and have since i was pregnant with Brenna. Weird, huh?
All of those sound lovely
. I dream that there are no more bills to pay, and Mark can stay home and play with the kids and cook and do hobby things and not run off to work for the second time today
. I dream that I sell every item I sew and we do not need to worry about water bills or car payments or silly little things like food. I dream that we have our own little homestead in the middle of nowhere and subsist only on what we create with our own hands. I dream that all family members get along beautifully and delight in seeing each other and there is not worry year to year about who we do or do not see or buy presents for at Xmas because of some meaningless transgression.
I also dream that gas were free, so we could travel all over and go to all sorts of homeschool group activities without having to plan two weeks in advance.
Not worrying about money. Because everything else is good, but the debt is burdensome.
I DO like your dreams. I have many and think I may just borrow your idea and post about mine when I get the chance. For now I’ll dream about the extra time to dream and write that post about my dreams. Hmm.
What lovely dreams! I’ll steal this idea, too, and post about it later.
Your first dream was my dream…well except in my dream I didn’t include a means to pay for it, just us schooling our kids across America.
Thanks for making me think today.
R. and I have tumbled over that RV dream many ways ourselves. I like your book idea. Ah, sweet dreams….
Felt shoes: comfy but impractical for winter.
Packing up my family and taking them on a neverending trip around the globe with all our closest family members and friends along for the ride. Also? A babysitter.
Lovely post. I dream about fitting into my life better, or my life fitting me better. RYC: bless your heart; what a sweet thing to say.

Your dreams are so linear and not scary. Mine are insane.
I have all sorts of dreams…For starters, I’d love to have my family and I go do some volunteer work overseas for 6-12 months and then travel around the world together…I dream about adopting one or two more children (DH doesn’t have this dream though)…I dream about…(I m
Your dreams are enjoyable to hear about! I myself dream about getting time to clean the basement, which won’t happen till our homeschooling trek is over.
Definitely your first one. Then when we’ve seen the country, settle in a small house on an acreage outside a small village (village sounds so much nicer than town) where I shall raise sheep and learn to spin wool and weave and grow old gracefully. :big-smile: I love your dreams.
I really like the RV dream. My dream is to be somewhere, Paris maybe, sitting outside at a cafe writing an amazing novel without a care in the world about bills or time.
A few days I had a dream that I was in a church with all the people that had hurt me over the last few years. It was really odd.
This is lovely.
I dream about………seeing my son grow up; unconditional love; no financial worries; not ever having to work again; no house cleaning or chores; sun all the time and so much more….
(That seems like so much to ask for…..)
wonderful. i l have lots of dreams, but lack time to share them all.
lately I have really been dreaming about a vibrational white light. seriously. problems with a teen? white light. 7 year old issues? white light. anxieties about the unknown future? white light. and so on.
my biggest fantasy is not about doing anything- it is about vast expanses of time with no “have to’s” days on end where i could stay in my flannel pj bottoms, reading, drinking tea, chatting on the phone, napping. mmmm. probably bathed in white light. : )
:sleepy:… of meeting you; of course!
