Roo.
she cut her hair again, all choppy in the front and sides and she likes to play board games over and over and over and we run down to the garden every day to see what is new and it’s important to run so we get there fast. She is 3 years old and she likes to draw flowers on her belly and small trees on her legs and when she runs she looks like a little human mural. she is thin these days, all speedy and slim but she eats and eats and eats, only in the tiniest bites possible. she smells like coconut and earth mostly but sometimes she smells like apples and woodsmoke and joy.
she is fast, fast, fast and likes to tell you everything like how the world is spinning and the clouds are pretty and she loves her pancakes and sometimes when she sleeps she dreams she is a tiny little bird.
it’s a beautiful world when you’re a tiny little bird.

Oh! What a beautiful description of a special little girl. How magical that she has dreamed of being a tiny bird. My brother’s wife just had their first baby, a girl and I am so excited about girls right now, having never had one myself. Your’s sure is sweet. And what a great name.
She is a sweet one. You really bring out the light in her eyes in that picture.
Oh! How I hope and pray that I will have a little sprite such as her one day!!
tiny bird. very sweet.:birdie:
She’s lovely. Little girls kill me. I’d have, like, 10 more if I could.
She looks like a little angel or a fairy…what a wonderful picture! Being 3 is magical, especially if you are a littel bird.

She is so happy and lovely and all good things!
:birdie: Roo just wanted her hair cut like her Mommy!
You always paint such a magical picture of life…both with your words and your photographs.
She is just a dream. How she is growing… I love this picture of her.
It is good to “see” you again. I have missed you.
Beautiful Julie, they grow so fast. I love that you see the wonderfulness in your children, they are such gifts, quick little gifts, to us

And she is just lovely
She’s a beautiful little girl Julie.
Oh, look how grown up she looks! So beautiful. Your little bird!
She looks like an enchanted pixie in that pic. I love it! I do beleive in faeries, I do, I do! I love three. It is one of my favorite ages. I have the privelege of teaching a three year old class right now. I love to hear them talk and how they see the world. So fresh and freeing.
I have missed you!
Beautiful, beautiful
I was just like her 12 years ago, and a little bit of me is still the same. I still draw on myself, I still think the clouds are beautiful… but somehow it’s not quite as cute to be that way when you’re not three anymore.
I don’t think I’ll ever really grow up.
Precious Roobird!
She is looking so mature. Much closer to 4 than 3.
