Another Xangaversary!
(pass the cake and the beer!)
~~~~~
I cannot believe another blog year has passed so quickly for me! I look at my older posts and remember that moment; the way I felt while writing. I am so grateful that I do this, it gives me a chance to examine who I am right now and to re-examine it later.
And blogging gives me the chance to know YOU and view life through your eyes and hear your voice speaking about your days and I am much richer for it.
Here are a few of my favorite posts from this year:
Ernest Borgnine, Eunuchs & Pumpkins
Another Place & Time: Our Strawbale House
This Makes Me Far Happier Than It Should
In browsing through this past year of blogging, I found that my favorite posts came from the first half of the year and not the second. I think I am not as inspired lately and can see it in my writing, can feel it in my expression. But I am grateful for knowing this as it speaks to me and tells me “something is changing here”.
i like living with my eyes open, even though i don’t always understand what i see.
Happy Xangaversary Darling! Yay beer and cake!
Thank you for enriching my life and letting me get to know you :hug:
BTW, I find the posts of my own that I like better seem to be in the early part of the year too… perhaps it has something to do with winter?
D’oh! You meant the first part of the past blogging year. Never mind then. :tongue:
I love you. :love:
Happy Xangaversary. Pass the rum.
Maybe something to consider is that you’re lately channeling a lot of creative energy and thought into your beautiful felted art — that may mean you don’t need to write as much. Maybe your inspiration is taking another outlet right now.
Of course, none of the rest of us are aware of any kind of lack in your blog, so another possibility is that you’re smoking crack.
What a great way to look back and see where you have been…and where you may be going.
I have deleted all my old posts, but I keep a paper journal. But now…I kind of wish I’d kept my blogs. Oh well.
Understanding comes when we are ready maybe. ((((((((HUGS)))))) for your journey.
I’m a better person for knowing you! You are a strong, beautiful woman Julie and your blog shines and sparkles in a very unique way….
cheers to you dear….*clink*
Yay! :dancingcow:
Julie… Love the flashbacks!
I remember finding Xanga (forever ago) and your blog was one of the 1st I came across… I joined to follow your photos and journaling and enjoy your zest for life and natural living.
I agree, it’s neat to look back and see where you were a year or 2 ago and think on it.
:big-smile:
Happy, happy Xangaversary!
I love the walk down memory lane. Those were some of my favorite posts, too.
Happy Xangaversary! And thanks for continuing to share this peek into your world with us.
And I’m so glad you’re here. :love:
Mmmmmmmm, beer and cake. :celebrate:
Happy Xangaversary!!
I’m so glad you blog.:love:
I am so glad that you blog too. You inspire me, and you encourage me, through your pictures, through your words. I am glad that you share it with us.
We, the Julie Person Fan Club members are all so blessed to share in your thoughts, your heart…
(((((((hugs)))))))
Julie, I only discovered your blog in April so hadn’t read any but one of these and am so grateful that you posted them. I laughed, I cried, I didn’t cook dinner… all while listening to great music. We had enthusiastic straw bale home plans but found it it’s too humid here. It was wonderful to see the progression of your’s and interesting to learn that you weren’t always in Maine. Your kids as babes :big-smile: – and the story of George and of what community really means – I couldn’t agree more. OK. Enough gushing. Time to feed my family.
I liked the post with the quote from your daughter where you closed by saying, “I want to be just like her when I grow up.”
I loved some of those entries.
Happy xangaversary.
happy ‘versary….:so-cool:
Congrats!! Thanks for sharing, it makes me happy:love:
I thought you were just busier during the 2nd half of of your Xanga years, with the garden and the kids. Do you really feel less inspired?
When I thought of you this morning, for some reason I thought of copper tooling. Somehow I think it would work out well for your style of drawing & imagery. I only suggest it if you need a break from the soft wool- not because I think you need a break, only because I know it’s nice to try other materials.
:love: :love: Finding your Xanga has been a blessing.
glad you are here:)
Thanks for picking your favorites, for “newbies” like me to your site, I didn’t get to read some of those past entries, I really enjoyed checking them out. I like Trevor’s response to homeschooling- “It rocks, I get to watch TV & a TON OF IT,” made me laugh so hard. I liked seeing your beautiful home in AZ, and was so pleased that someone else is enjoying it.
I see why “I LOVE JULIE PERSONS!”
Thank you for sharing. :celebrate:
Thanks so much for another year of delighting us with a look into your life
I am so glad to know you! You inspire and amuse and are such a beautiful person
Thank you for being in my life!
