    ACEO’s, Pudding Pops, Gardening & July Days

    ACEO’s (artist cards editions & originals)

    these are teeny tiny little felted scenes (3.5″x2.5″)

    ~~~~~~~~
    Look, it’s a healthy pudding popsicle recipe!
    Take a box of Mori-Nu Silken Tofu,
    a package of Mori-Nu vanilla pudding mix
    and puree. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.
    These are really good, I SWEAR!
    We like these rocket pop makers.
    how the garden does grow
    this purple cabbage thinks it’s a tulip
    Is this real? This is some sort of golden beetle cocoon(?)
    It is all real-er than real.
  • You always have such lovely things in your garden. :so-cool:
  • Roo is such a garden nymph!
  • The beetle is exceptionally cool!
  • Oh your tomatos!  We have little yellow flowers, but no tomatos yet.  Your garden looks so lucious and green!
  • Lovely! Love the pieces, your garden, yummie veggies, :big-smile:
  • Oh my gosh those ACEO’s are so cute! I’ve got doing little ACEO’s on my list among the other million things. I love the idea…something I guess I became cognizant of on Etsy, actually! So cool!
  • That is a very cool beetle. And thanks for the recipe – we’ve been eating tons of popsicles and some with protein would be a welcome change….
  • I love that Mori-nu pudding mix for tofu.  It can’t be that hard to figure out can it?  I just wish I could figure out the exact mix of ingredients to blend with tofu for that heavenly pudding.  Would it simply be cocoa powder and sugar?  There must be something that makes it smoother.
    Let me know how you do with the ACEOs.  I’ve never done them, not intentionally anyway.
  • Lovely…every bit of it.  I want to hang that cabbage picture on my wall.  I love that pic.
  • knitsteel, the key is the silken tofu, it is very creamy when you blend it.
  • You are so creative in all you do- your felt, your photos, your garden…
  • You made those cards out of felt?  They are beautiful!
  • Love the cards!!:dancingcow:
  • As always, beautiful pictures Julie!  I especially love the beetle–it looks just like a dew drop of gold.  And those popsicles sound yummy!
  • Looks like you have a graden fairy and her side kick the golden bettle
  • Beautiful beautiful pictures. I’ve been gathering my great enemy, the Japanese beetle, and even though I detest them, can’t help but notice how pretty they are.
  • I love that you are growing golden beetles.  How appropriate!!
  • Here’s the thing:  I just love everything you make.  Like your little art cards.  So there.
  • The golden beetle is amazing!
    The purple cabbage reminds me of the alien plant in Little Shop of Horrors. LOL
  • gorgeous post Julie.that golden beetle is soooo amazing!
  • I lurve the mini-felts!  They look like storybook illustrations.
    That beetle is really neat.
  • Those felt ATCs are amazing. We made some the last time we went to the unschooling conference, a few years ago. Save some for the conference in NC! You have to go, ATCs or not. Please?
    Is that glowing, golden bug really a Japanese Beetle? I may have finally seen one I don’t want to squish.
  • Gorgiosis!!! You ought to check out the moth at Brownievanmorrison
  • Thanks for the popsicle recipe.  I will be trying it soon.  Great pics as always
  • Fried Green Tomatoes!!!!!!!
  • That farmer’s market is on my list.  Do you frequent it?  I am trying to go to a varitey of them in our area.  The hard part is that they are usually the same day/times.  This weekend we are going to Diversity Farms in Troy.  My husband is going to be doing some website work for them.  I love your felting.  I’ll have to convince you to teach me how, I have a ton of raw wool here now, and three sheep in the field.  Have a great day.
  • Just so lovely.
  • Simply gorgeous photos (as always, you awe me!), and my daughter is going to want to try that pudding pop recipie! Lisa
  • Goodness, I just want to live in your world for a day. :love:
    I haven’t forgotten about your woolies!! I just keep forgetting to mail them, I’m so sorry! Maybe tomorrow.
    MWAH!
  • I love your photos.
  • :celebrate:  AMAZING PHOTOS!!!!  I love the cabbage photo, BREATHTAKING!    I found 2 of those very same little Beetles, I have been calling them “Jewel bugs”, but looked it up and I believe it is a “Golden Tortoise Beetle”.  They are beautiful!  You Rock, Mama!
  • beautiful felted aceo’s…… i love them :)
  • Hi. I’m just having a look through blogs in the ‘Playing in the Dirt: Organic Gardening” blogring to see what inspirational ideas I can find for my own garden.
    Did you make those artist (trading) cards? They are fantastic… I love the ‘craft’ aspect of them. I made ATC’s for my art school graduation piece and founf that it was a fantastic, at times ephemeral, way of making art.
    I love your term ‘free-range’ children.
  • beautiful pix as always!! love that golden beetle thingie. send a pic to http://www.whatsthatbug.com and see if they can identify it.
  • Beautiful!
    We’re doing a felted ATC trade over at Imagination Tribe, if you’d let some of them be ATC’s.:)
