But Wait!
Here is an example of a beautiful mess.
Yesterday, Jesse was playing with a bucket of clay on the porch and the clay jumped on him and covered him head to toe and he decided to spray himself clean with the hose and Roo started to squeal about the wetness and so he sprayed into the house because he enjoys the squealing and then he ran into the kitchen and the clay and the water was all over the floors and so he “cleaned” it up with the clean laundry. And then he started a bath and the bath water turned to sludge and she jumped in and so she was sludge-coated and they were laughing and it was such a MESS.
But.
They got out and I dried their happy little bodies and they ran off to play. I sat there and watched the water swirl down the drain and I breathed. When the tub drained, I saw this:
Clay On Porcelain
The last one reminds me of earth and roots
and deep growing things.
And how sometimes life is a beautiful mess.

Oh,very cool! The shoes, its a tough one,I like the red shoe with the green pic!
Cats or horses? Um, I vote for cats.
I have lists, too, but I don’t do anything so cool as what you do…and feeding the bees or making goat cheese is really cool! I do like the clay images on your porcelain tub. Life is definately messy, but full of wonderfulness, too. ( Not sure that is a real word, but oh, well.
)
what fun shoes!
the clay left beautiful designs.
I like the red ones with the kitty!
I’m still looking for my give a crap. Did it come your way?
Did you find those shoes on Ebay?!? They have fab shoes on there, that is where I found my Japanese garden shoes…I heart birkenstocks!!!
I love this post…that you were able to breathe while they made their messy yet beautiful art is amazing and only hope that I am as “ready” as you are to be a parent when the time comes…you are so wise.
xo
That last one really does look like a picture of roots and new plant growth. I love the way you see things.
I’m usually a horsey kinda girl, but the cat shoes are purrrrfect.
Now I’m telling you I thought the same thing about the tub and the mud that H. had left behind (though I don’t think I was so free in giving him his freedom w/ the mud as you…I need to work on that!)but I didn’t take the picture. Sigh. Too lazy. I want to see the world from your eyes. Maybe if I got some more sleep? :wink-wink: I love those shoes! The cow gets my vote. That is a cow, isn’t it? :dancingcow:
I love the last picture. I was looking at it like you described, earth and roots. Then all of a sudden it took to another form. If you cover the top half off.. it looks like a pregnant belly with stretchmarks. ( belly button and all ) Matter of fact with was the little circle that popped out at me and gave me that image. It looks kind of neat..like the first belly of Eve or something. Or you can look at it as the blood of life given to the one on the inside.Ha I could be thinking “to deep” lol.

I like the red ones.
And you are a MUCH better woman than me. That scenario would have sent me directly into screaming banshee mode.
oooh i love those birks! i am looking for a pair of birk sandals, the clogs just aren’t cool enough for my feet.
good god, I wish I had your way of thinking of things. I would be flipping out if and missed the moment of beauty altogether!
I love the pictures.
Have you tried yogurt on walls?
I like those last photos! The shoes are great!
beautiful mess is right! (i love those birks, too):birdie:
Love the art made by the clay and water. The elements are art waiting for a picture op, IMO. :camera:
The kitty shoes are cute but bright. The horsey shoes are more my color scheme, but I am more of a cat lover. Oh how I don’t envy your decision lol.
Love the shoes; I’ve been eyeballing the pink piggy ones myself for a while.
You are a freaking saint, woman. I’d be with the banshee above. :wink-wink:
p.s. I love the clay art, too. Love how your mind found that, and the peace.
that was a lot of clay! I think that the cat Birk’s are great…have fun wittling down that list!
Pretty mess.
cats rule

sounds like you have the busiest of days coming up!
I just love beautiful messes!!
Awe…I love this. Life is often just a beautiful mess. I love how you see life.
Wow. I will think of these pictures, scenario, and of breathing during the next mess of my day. I am cleaning the house for a party with 20 kids and their parents tomorrow (Jesse’s wish -for the large party) and I am so glad that I came here on my break. I needed this inspiration towards breathing right now.
Amen to that! Lisa
