Your Thoughts?
~~~~~
Call me crazy but I have decided to start another Etsy shop for my fine art photography. I have many prints I would love to include but am afraid that if I put too many, the store will be too much.
That said, if I include too few, then I may lose sales.
Any Thoughts?
P.S. I decided to open a separate store from my felt work as I want my wool creations and my photography work to each stand alone.
#1- Because you asked me to: You’re crazy
#2-Why not put a line at each site stating something along the lines of, ” For juliepersons’ fine photography visit her Etsy shop, and supply a link
#3- Good morning!
Blessings abound
I think that you can’t lose!
Both are amazing and when I have more disposable income I will be frequenting both shops regularly I am sure!!
xo
I don’t think you’re crazy. I like epeemom’s sugg. about putting a link on each site. At the wool shop put a link to the photography and viceversa. :birdie: I’d love a chance to purchase some of your work!
Go for it. Your photography is amazing. I was never much into photos of flowers and plants until you and Tigermama started posting amazing photographs of nature. Your pictures – all of them – are professional quality. You could always add a statement saying that if ‘someone wishes a photograph of a particular type of thing or color scheme, you might be able to do it for them custom.’ That way, pick your favorites to sell and change them out every now and then.
I would opt for less, picking one image of each type of image that really exemplifies your work. For example, only one tree image. Not 10 tree images. Just the best one. (Just using tree as an example.)
I would also limit the number of prints you make of each image. You may want to number them, and limit them — only printing a edition of 25-100 prints of each. They will be more valuable that way.
Smoochies. And dancing cow. :dancingcow:
Einde.
I dont’ exactly have a business head, but I do agree with cross linking being a good idea. Best of luck! Your work is beautiful :love:
Yup, you’re crazy, but good crazy! I think it’s a great idea!
Well, Miss Julie, I can imagine buying up gobs of those piccies you took in Paris. So I say All Systems Go, sister. :celebrate:
Just make sure you make them really expensive so people know they are getting what they pay for!
Fantastic idea, you take amazing photo’s.
::celebrate: It’s about time!
I agree, put a cross link. I think prinint a limited edition is wise. You just have so much good stuff, I wouldn’t know how to pick & choose. Best of Luck!
I totally think you create an entire website specifically for your photographs. Did you ask that? Nah, I know you din’t but it was what I was thinking.
Good for you! I think Alissa’s advice is wise. :love:
I agree with the majority. It is a great idea, and the cross link is a terrific idea
Yes, go for it!
yep…link between the two sites and have a limited amount of prints for each photograph. :big-smile:
Great idea. I do still think you should also sell licenses to the digital high-res versions though. Dunno how you’d manage that through Etsy? Could you?
Oh, also, as to the number of prints… I’d say rotating it is more important than maintaining a large volume. Having “limited time only” sets would be good, I think. Also series to collect.
Hmm..
what about a rotating gallery with feature items? Mailing list for updates to be sent out?
What’s the web address for the photography site?????????
