  • That it is. I love the fabulously colored wool at the end. I can’t wait to see what you make with it.

  • Very pretty! It’s time to hunt for morels if you get them up there. My dad says when the lilacs are just budding/blooming, it’s time. :) Do you hunt morels? We used to every spring when I was living at home. My family still does.

  • Wasn’t it a most beautiful day!  The colours were amazing.  The blackflies were not as much fun, but it was a great day!

  • Very lovely.  Spring has found you!

Did you dye your wool?  It is magnificent!  :dancingcow::dancingcow::dancingcow: Adding these dancing cows because they want to be here.

  • Gorgeous!!!!!!
..and I’ll have some of that red with you, if you don’t mind! I’ll bring the hummus….(it’s yellow or orange, depending on how much paprika is in it…)

  • did you get a rebel (i think you did, but my memory is slushy these days), and if so what lens/es did you get? are these lilac & lichen & shell with a macro lens or the kit lens or what?

  • Mmmm, soul feast!

  • Melissa:yes,  I did the get the rebel XT and it came with the standard lens (Canon 18-55mm) and then I added a Tamrom (75-300mm) zoom lens and then the 50mm Canon macro for portraits and close-ups: http://www.pcuniverse.com/product.asp?pid=2592337&m_id=32
I used the 18-55 for the close-ups you asked about (because I happened to have that lens on and it is the best overall lens, IMO) I also have a Macro set of (screw on) lenses which I rarely use but are fairly inexpensive and allow for super close-ups, if desired.

  • I think I need more of those colors in my life–esp the reds!  Thanks for all the camera talk, I’m interested in buying a one myself.

  • So very colorful and lovely and scrumptous!!!!

  • Those are incredible.

  • Wonderful – indeed, your life is colorful. You have an outlook on life that inspires us all to see things in vivid color :) . I had some red wine tonight too!

  • Now you’ve inspired me to go out and take some pictures of my lilacs!

  • So, so pretty!

  • It sure is! Do you have lady slippers where you live? I am searching, searching!

  • Tigermama: I am searching, too!

    None yet though.

  • I love that bubble pic!  That is awesome!

  • We enjoy your photos so much! You’ve inspired my young son to start a blog with photos–I appreciate that of you too! You can see his photos at http://www.xanga.com/thebenedictmock

  • Very nice bubble pic. That wool is going to make something beautiful, I can tell.

  • Ohhhh, beautiful!! The colors of spring are here!!  The bleeding hearts are stunning!!

  • Third down, bubbles and the colourful yarn my faves.

  • Your wool makes me .

  • I love them all!!! All of them would look stunning in a store’s greeting card display. They would sell like hotcakes. I want to know what those flowers are. I’ve identified lilac and bleeding heart. What is the yellow and the blue? Is the pink at the end wild rose? Been thinking ’bout you. :frog:

  • A. I love how Jesse looks so much like *himself* in his baby pictures, on the previous post.

    B. These pictures are so good — What about a stock photo repository that was like… fair trade photos or something… you know, you could price downloads of the high res versions for graphic designers. Huge stock photography sites are so gross and impersonal and bloodless. You could do it better. You already have a web site for your photography, right? Have you thought of adding this? You could make cool tags.
