Bring on The Bombogenesis
(because we are prepared)
*****
We spent all day getting ready for the big storm to come:
we watched as many cartoons as we could (while we still have power) so now our brains are full of them.
we made sure all marbles needed the “how many marbles can you fit between your toes game” were accounted for.
they are!
we checked all pulleys and contraptions to be sure they are functional and well oiled
we tested the hardwood floors to make sure they are strong and sturdy, as well
Lucy made sure to locate her monkey so she knows where it is if the lights go out
all toes are present and accounted for
winter hats, found and tested for secure fit
we are well stocked in the cuteness department
I checked to make sure the garden is still safely buried in snow
yup, it is
and the backside of the kitchen still has snow above the window?
yup, it’s secure alright.
Let’s get this party started!

oh, good- I was worried mine might still be the only garden covered with snow! Blessings abound
we’re supposed to get a similiar storm over the next 3 days. :sigh:
wasn’t spring here a month ago?
and thank you.
well, i hate to brag, but our garden is finally exposed…yay for global warming in alaska
:whew: Glad to hear you are all prepared with the most important of survival supplies. Water? Who needs it! Canned food? Phooey! All you really need is right there in those pictures. Enjoy your “bombogenesis”!!
:sleepy: That’s what I would do….:sleepy: you don’t have a smiley face stuffing it’s mouth full of homemade pumpkin bread and hot hazelnut coffee… that’s what I would do before I go to :sleepy:… and when I wake up…
BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are ready.
That is an awful lot of snow..you know…to still be pre-bombogenesis and all. Maine ain’t for wimps.
Good song.
Party on, dudes! :celebrate:
You have gone waaaay beyond the required cuteness factor.
Those children are ‘take your breath away’ beautiful.
Yes, a bombogenisis party! Woooo hooooo! Have fun!
I love the picture of the dog. It looks like she’s smiling for the camera!
And Roo’s dress. Just adorable.
may you still have electricity this time tomorrow!
it’s probably just me but the picture of the marble inbetween the toes kind of grossed me out. i think it’s toes in general though not your kids toes. i might have a aversion to toes.
Can I just say You guys are well prepared and stocked up on the most unbelievable cuteness all around!!! Is that Maple syrup on that there snow back-dropped window sill??
:ROTFL: You make me laugh! Sorry about all the white crap you have!
Snuggle in and keep warm! (pass teh rum and coffee!)
the cuteness department is for sure covered!!!!
Just checking in on you guys! Stay warm… I see you’ve got the cuteness covered. :wink-wink:
your prepared!
brownalpaca: yes, that’s our syrup from this season
Make lots of pancakes while you’re snowed or rained in.
RYC; Ahhh, I see we are thinking along the same lines! But, you have all the important stuff taken care of. I am only prepared b/c I had to take this Red Cross Disaster training thing for some program or another we ran at work. SO now I am hyper aware of all the terrible things that could go wrong. Woo hoo. Not that I am one to worry exessively over things that are out of my control, nope, not me.
:dancingcow: Dude, this guy is SO CUTE. I wish I could steal him for the board!
Lucy and her monkey made me :ROTFL:. Not everyone’s dog has a monkey they need to take care of, you know.
Do you make jam too? if not, perhaps we can arrange some sort of jam/syrup exchange when the berries come in (if it ever turns to srping…)
My choir in Manhattan is doing the song that’s playing right now….. ‘Lullaby’ by the Dixie Chicks! :dancingcow:
How’s the bombogenisis? We’re already starting to flood here!
Sounds like a good time. Sort of.
I admire your ability to still find joy after so many months of snow. I’m a winter wimp. You look well prepared; enjoy!
Holy moly! Hope ya’ll keep power!
How sweet. Yes, you ARE stocked in the cuteness department! I love Ruby’s dress. It is so perfect on her. Stay warm!
those are some toes!!
I have been thinking of you. You know the MIL is in Maryland now so she keeps us updated. Hope all is well.
Looks like you’ve got all the important items covered. What I would give for some of that maple syrup – I’d pour some on my oatmeal right now. Snuggle up and enjoy.
We have no weather here. just HOT and occasionally wind. We had LOTS of wind today.
Roos dress is awesome! Did you make it?
Love and Laughter,
Amy
Amy: Yes, I did make it. :big-smile:
