There Is Good In Every Day

    (even snowy ones in April)

    Delights:

    (hoarded Easter chocolate stash)

homemade bread toasted with homemade cheese and fruit

    these, a gift to myself

    and these

    crazy maze of a melon

    syrup, beautiful syrup!!

Melissa_Tulip seems to think I have a thing for sweets and I have no idea where she gets that from?

massive domino spiral created with Jesse

And snow jokes because I may as well laugh

the plow is still broken and 7-14 inches will be too much to ignore (see previous post)so we plan on driving up and down the driveway all night to keep it packed down.

Warm up the rum and bring on the coffee, it’s going to be a fun night!

  • Nothing like the cruelty of Mother Nature, is there? We’re getting the same sort of snowy fluffy shouldn’t we have had this in December or February ?crap over here.  I’m taking it as a measure of becoming more well that I’ve been quite content to putz about the house today and not fight it.  However, I’m willing to don my sportsbra and shave my winter gams if you think that would help. Blessings abound

  • Beautiful pics Julie.  They ALMOST make me wish for some more snow here–then again, NOT!

  • Ahhhh stashed chocolate is grand! The flowers keep reminding you Spring is coming— even if you have to stay up all night plowing the driveway with out a plow… eh? …the flowers… BEAUTIFUL! :)

The syrup… Mmmmmm! Are you selling any this year? Really, name your price and shipping to Florida :) You need more tree’s and time - heehee!

  • I may have sun, but YOU have chocolate.  *sniff, sniff*

  • Those cookies look amazing.  Do you have a dough recipe that you always use, then add different stuff to it every time?  I love some good chunky cookies.  I would love to have your recipe.

  • I have missed stopping by here! Sorry about the snow. The chocolate looks absolutely wonderful!

  • Wonderful.

I wish I had even just a little piece of your life (=

  • We got 4 inches in my area of WI…I heard southern WI got a whole bunch more.  Thankfully, it got in the upper 40′s and it almost all melted already.

I love snow…but this has got to stop! It’s making me cranky.

  • I love the way you display your pictures.. It is a very good pictures to appreciate the art of it.. :)

  • OK, chocolate, dominoes, HOMEMADE cheese and fruit, syrup? I am so there. Snow bombs or not, I’m coming to your house.

  • You have a great attitude.  Personally, I’d take the homemade bread and melon.  Yum.

  • I hope the night wasn’t too rough.

You know…those forecasts aren’t accurate that many days out…it could warm up and be sunshiney. Really.

Until then, I hope you have a wonderful time nibbling away at all those yummy looking treats.

    and…Long Live Calvin and Hobbes!

  • It’s all sooo yummy!

  • I love that blue wall behind the tulips. *droooool*

  • I have never before wanted to crash someone’s breakfast but I bet it would be grand to munch with you folks in the morning. If I could get up the driveway, of course!!!

  • Yum yum yum! Hoping you were able to get some sleep.

  • I’m glad you’re feeling a little better.  All that spring snow would get to anybody.  Even out here in ski country we’re ready for it to just go away so we can break out the hiking boots.

  • i love the calvin & hobbs snowman series. have you seen the one where they are picketing in the middle of the drive and his dad can’t get out?

  • As always, your pics are wonderful!  Love the cookies!!!

  • There IS beauty in every day. I avoided the pictures in this post for as long as possible though, and now I’ve had to reference them in a confessional. :blushing:
