Can You Feel The Love?
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Pathways
Understand, I’ll slip quietly
away from the noisy crowd
when I see the pale
stars rising, blooming, over the oaks.
I’ll pursue solitary pathways
through the pale twilit meadows,
with only this one dream:
You come too.
Rainer Maria Rilke
loveliness.
On Tonight’s agenda?
- children who are worn out from sledding and running in snow fall asleep early
- dinner for two with fresh shrimp and wine and any music except for John Lithgow’s “Singing in the Bathtub”.
- conversation between two adults who still like each other and have an awful lot to talk about.
- board games
- bath time for grown-ups while reading “The Onion” to one another (laughter as an aphrodisiac still works, always has)
- break out the twister mat and see who “wins”!
(if our evening goes as hoped, everyone wins)

It sounds delightful!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Woohooo!! Now that is the way to spend Valentine’s day! Around here, its more likely that the adults will be in bed early from chasing the kids in the snow, taking them to the mall when mama started worrying about frostbite, and playing family board games. I am sure that the kiddos though will be up to the break of dawn munching on sweets and playfully poking their parents.
Sounds lovely. Hope your night is wonderful!
I love it! Have fun!
Oh you lucky little devil you. Have some fun will ya. (We don’t have to hear all the details unless you really want to share).

Sounds wonderful!
Hehehe,hope everyone WON!
Nice! How’d it go?
“I will not play at tug o’ war.
I’d rather play at hug o’ war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.”
awww, so sweet
That’s a definite win win situation:)
Sounds like the PERFECT Valentine’s Day…
Are you trying to get pregnant?!?!
Hope all of your plans were executed effortlessly!

Twister…naked? Oiled?
Sounds wonderful!! I hope you had fun.
Hubba, hubba!
lovely poem…
in my writing class we are learning not
to write ‘emotion words’ and just allow our readers to feel it for themselves
and that poem does it very well. is it yours or Rilke’s?
it is Rilke’s.
