I Am Cleaning
(and other stuff)
While my last post was a chance for me to air some of my messes and feel a bit more true to myself, it may end up being a catalyst for change. I DO need to purge and we need shelves to be better organized. Today, I began cleaning out the books in the living room and bringing in more wooden fruit crates to stack and hold books until we have the $$ to build shelves. I have a hard time doing this; I put all my energy into the kids and being creative and living off the land and the house is the last priority. I know I need to relax and just enjoy my life without the messes ruining the moment but if I enjoy being organized that is alright, too.
I just don’t like getting there. Meh.
Jesse said (upon waking this AM) “You know what would be cool?! A toilet that works like a cuckoo clock and this bird pops out singing when ever you go the bathroom in it!”
oh yes, let’s patent that one quickly.

Has anyone read ”The Crochet Workshop” by James Walters? I read about him at Rue’s Blog and googled him immediately.
Although it looks like he is doing some googling of his own
“who’s my favorite goat, you are, you are, yes you are, give Daddy a big kiss now!”
Well, this just says it all.
The picture below made my week, I kid you not.
and he crocheted that outfit, for himself!
I want to feel as happy as like he looks and if it takes 14 balloons, a mustache, and an outfit like that well then I’m in!
Anything for joy.
“I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have
one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day
difficult.”

Good to see you are still here. Your one of my favorites.

Ditto the not liking the part to get there. Our space is really small for the lot of us and its extremely difficult to keep organized. ( or fantasize about organization) Oh yeah, I SO wanna be the crochet guy,
Well, slow and easy is what I say… a little at a time… I try to sneak an hour (maybe 30 minutes a day) before the kids wake or after they sleep to tackle the things like cluttered corners… same as you, it’sjust not my 1st priority… I prefer time with my kiddlings over shuffling stuff. Heehee!
)
…and that last picture… I would so wear that ! I would! Love it.
I want to hang out with that guy. Can you imagine how much fun he must be?
I must have longjohns like those! I already have the balloons.
I think fisher price makes a toilet like that. I kid you not.
FP does make a singing toilet. And I like a organized house, makes me feel more peaceful.
Oooohhhhh, James is totally about to put that 2nd pic on his myspace profile. Love it!
Did you actually get 70 comments on your last entry? IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?! People must really like your clutter
.
Jesse’s comment is very cute. I would love it if a bird sang every time I pottied. Right now I only get screaming children. I am quite certain a bird sings when crochet man does his duty. That guy scares me.
I saw that post too — love that guy!!! What I want to know is… where is he now? What’s he doing?
that outfit is just WRONG…scary, even! LOL
I wonder how clean goat’s mouths are…
Do u live in England?
I haven’t read it, but I have seen those pictures before, heh. Love the goat one, reminds me of DH and our dog (they’re BFF).
He makes me happy by just looking at him. I want a goat so very much…. I want to name her Gracie!
I would totally wear that outfit!
The idea of a man who not only crochets his own clothes and dances with goats but also has pictures to prove it and writes about it frightens me. Also I’m secretly scared of balloons.
She Walks Into Walls
But it feels SO GOOD when you’ve finished
That EB White quote is most excellent.
I simply must check that guy and his book and his moustache out.
i love that man. i would stalk him if i weren’t married already. Jessie is amazing, you know that of course but i just had to say it again LOL
i hate cleaning, i would rather be outside. sharing your home like that was great for me. i needed to see that i am not alone:)
i struggle with it so much, i hate cleaning but i love it being clean. aack.
That’s some outfit!
I think it’s great if mess doesn’t bother you, you should embrace it and love it.
I am ok with a little clutter, but when I can’t find what I am looking for when I need it, or things start falling on me, I know it is time to do a little tidying.
The thing about a mess is it just comes back……
