Thrift Store Finds, Knitted Mittens
& a Sexy Polka Album
~~~~~
I did it, I knitted my very first pair of mittens for another human being!
For Jesse
Today we are munching on gingerbread and listening to Elvis sing “Blue Chistmas” and searching for the missing remote control (there is a $3.00 cash reward for it, anyone interested?).
Because we are all about the excitement here.
(it says she wants to polka but that lollipop says she wants something else)
She should know you shouldn’t dance with a sucker in your mouth.
nice mittens!
lol, that polka cover is hil-air-e-us! And your right, dancing with candy is just not safe…
Nice job!
the mittens are impressive.
We have the very same Monsters album framed and hung over our cd rack in the living room!!! The actual record is in sad shape and rather unplayable, but we could get rid of it, so it was framed and finally hung up two days ago.
That has to be the most suggestive polka album I’ve ever seen! LOL!
The mittens look adorable and wonderful!
Lovin’ the mittens!
I’m working on my first pair of mittens as well….OY. Knitting does not come naturally to me. Yours look very nice!!
Want to make me some mittens too? In exchange I will waive the $3 reward for the missing remote…which I am predicting that Lucy trotted away with. lol
I love hand knit mittens.
im taking up polka if that’s what i have to look forward too [yikes!]
Oh no! She might choke! :p
I am so proud of your first mitties!!! I want to learn to knit just so I can make mitties. I am soooo obsessive about knittie mitties.
I remember you posting another album cover once. It made me squeal equally as much as this one does. That is one of the coolest thrift store finds ever!!! I cannot wait for Rick to get home so I can show it to him.
Your mittens turned out really well! Great job.
Oh I love my old alphabet record. I used to play it on an old pink record player/suitcase type thing.
Ooh.. “The People in Your Neighborhood!” I’m pretty sure I had that album as a child! Coolness.
I wish I had time to knit..so much fun…
I bet you are just as wacky and fun of a mom as me!!!
Great thrift store finds…and great mittens!
Too bad you didn’t find Sesame Street Fever on vinyl — I had that as a kid and it always cracked me up!
I love your mittens!!
I want to buy some wool for my sister for Christmas, where can I buy nice wool in a big city????
Oh man, I want those Sesame Street albums! What a treasure..
All I can remember now is this screaming stoner song “C IS FOR COOKIE” but Sesame street used to be the only childrens show we got.
We had that Sesame Street Monsters album while growing up.
Nice mittens!
Are you a good person? Are you good enough to go into heaven?
How do you know? One way is by seeing if you obeyed the Ten Commandments. Are you guilty or innocent?
1. You shall have no other gods before me. Have you loved God more than anything else?
2. You shall not make for yourself an idol.
3. You shall not take the name of God in vain. Did you use God’s name as a curse word?
4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder. Do you hate someone? Have you killed someone?
7. You shall not commit adultery. Did you have pre-marital sex?
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness (lie).
10. You shall not covet.
If you break any of these laws, you are guilty of sin. You are a lost sinner. You are in danger of hell fire.
Do you see your guilt?
If you repent and turn away from your sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins.
You won’t perish.
If you don’t repent,
you are heading straight to a burning hell.
Jesus Christ already took your place (died) on the cross
and rose again,
Why must you perish?
Why must you die?
God loves you so much!
