No frost but everything is safe inside
(and we went to THE FAIR!!)
The Common Ground Country Fair!
We saw spinning, candlemaking, blacksmithing, weaving, carding, felting, cooking, shoveling manure, stoneworking, a garden parade and carving.
We danced and worked with clay and tried spinning and ate incredible edibles made from 100% Maine grown organic foods.
We listened to music and came home with apples, knitting needles and way too much handspun yarn.
And we saw good friends, many of whom we see every year at THE FAIR.
Today was perfect.
I hope your day was wonderful, as well.

What? No funnell cake? No corn dogs? No frito pie? No Indian fry bread tacos?? What kind of “fair” was this? Hmmmm?
I can’t wait for the fair now. Ok, maybe once it’s down under 90 degrees. Hell, I’d settle for 90 at this point.
Ahh, wonderful. I love county fairs! Sounds like a perfect day.
Glad the veggies were rescued. Better safe than sorry.
The fair sounds wonderful and simialr to our riverfolk festival. If you have way too much…you could always make me something…I mean…you know, to get it off your hands.
No pictures???
It sounds like a wonderful day! I’m jealous.
I need to move to Maine. That sounds incredible!
We went today as well. It was such a perfect day!

Phew! Close call with the produce, mama.
Sounds like the fair was a blast! Wish they had something like that in these parts….
How wonderful.
Now that sounds just wonderful. Did Jesse like spinning? We are going to learn to spin soon. These are the kinds of activities that make my heart sing. Indeed, it does sound like a perfect day. I am so happy you had it. ((hugs))
looks — looks like grand fun. Sorry, just a long day :>)
I’d love to see your handspun yarn. Sounds like a wonderful day.
Bob and I went to the fair on Thursday. I wanted to take a cage ful of little banty chickens home… so cute!!!! I will get chickens. He doesn’t even know how persistant I can be… after 20 years you would think he would know… but I will have those cute little chicken! And 2 bunnies and a goat and a worm composter in the basement!
That sounds like a really nice day, and an awesome fair.
