No Matter How Loudly I Crank The Ray Charles

and no matter how wildly I dance in my jammies

and no matter how many books I bury my head in

my children’s voices still echo in this empty house

and this is not a bad thing.

  • RYC re: being neighbors… same. wouldn’t that be great??? sigh. I could really go for one of those beautiful berry drinks!!!

also, I know that feeling re: the kids. anytime I’m away from them. some part of them is always always with me.

  • My mom used to tell me, “You are always right here in my heart…”

Now we both know what she meant.

  • it never stops either. even after they go far away.  they are always echoing in the halls and rooms and lawns of our homes.  if only we listen, we hear them still.  Blessings abound

  • awww!  How sweet.  I ache for my babies when they are away.

  • Awwwwww,I get the same way! Have fun, they will be home tomorrow…

  • Glad you’re enjoying your day.  The image of you dancing in  your pj’s to Ray Charles makes me smile.

  • And I came here to say, that’s cuz they live in your heart, but someone beat me to it! Enjoy your day and then enjoy their return home!

  • The only way I get through a day without my Matt is knowing he will be home in [so many] hours…

  • I love being alone in my house…but after 24 hours, it would start to feel very quiet and empty, and then I’d want my kids back!

  • It’s all about the acoustics, man. Got any styrofoam egg cartons?
