Self Portrait Challenge
self portrait as…
~~~~~
An Earth Goddess
because I am.
~~~~~
I am happiest
when grasping the thin roots of things
and rubbing the damp earth between my fingers
and I am in my
most
perfect
place
when breathing the clean air
while bending my body to connect with
all that is true.

:love: great pic
so very lovely you are
I love it!:heartbeat:
Yes, you are! That is awesome. Sometimes I long to be that feeling, but am always so shy of the growing of things. I should just buck up! Beautiful.
You are a lovely earth goddess!
You make me want to spontaneously start my period, or something. Oh, hey, that happens EVERY MONTH! You are magic!
Beautiful earthy mama.
Love it!
Gorgeous! And I totally am loving what you wrote. That is exactly how I feel. Oh well, someday I will get my wish of living in the middle of no where surrounded by a whole lot of nothing.
What a beautiful picture. You are so photogenic!

You look ethereal and grounded all at the same time. So lovely. :love:
Enchanting!
You’re definitely an Earth Goddess! Who was that woman, possibly Latino, who did the photography of herself in sort of earth installations? I can’t remember her name now. I know she’s not alive anymore.
ryc- If those root cuttings work out, I may draft you to root up a few of those wild Maine roses for me.
Absolutely perfect!
You are beautiful.
We share this worship of the earth… I am the same with my hands in the dirt.

ryc… you’ve always been on my protected list, since I subscribed to you.

Julie, check out the book that I am reading. It’s on my entry from yesterday. It’s quite the read (math and fractals and plants speaking to everyone…) but nonetheless, your entry makes me think of his description of drinking what he refers to as “wild water” and the sensation it creates in comparison to say, city water…
when one says earth goddess, you mean all of the power and strength of it in it’s natural form…hurrah and let it grow wild!
That is the PERFECT title for you,you are an Earth Goddess! I love this pic of you!
