News Flash: Flowers Are Sexy!
And then, spiders land on them and they are not so sexy but still amazing!
The Day, in Roo’s Eyes:
And Jesse’s
And Garden-y goodness
The cucumber beetles are out and they are ravaging all related plants. My response is to squish as many as humanly possible and sprinkle saved ash all over for prevention.
What I am trying to say is,
I like to shake my ash.

Beautiful pictures. Looks like a wonderful day.
oh your photos are lovely. the red contrast is fantastic!
Your garden is beautiful. It reminds me of the one we had when I lived in Indiana. Do your kids get to pick the beans? That was the worst part for us
Those really are sexy flowers~!
Lovely day as usual!
xo

Flowers are amazingly sexy…….
I like to shake my ash….you crack me up.
OMG, LOL. Love the photos – all of them, except the spider one, which is cool, but ewww! Your kids, as always, glow :sunny:.

Roo has really grown in the last couple months.
Jesse is wearing clothes more often now that it’s warmer. Hrmm? Me thinks he has a mind of his own.
Ash Shaker.
Roo in pigtails is THE BEST! She so sweet. I love the pictures of Jesse as well.
You shake your ash!

the flowers are very sexy. Ive always thought so, too. and I love the spider pic! Ruby really is growing like a weed. shes getting so big already! Jesse looks like he’s having a blast on that pogo stick.
Shake it
You are my hero. My garden hero. My Mama hero. My photography hero.
I now pronounce today “Julie is a Hero Day!”
All bow before her…
Shake it… shake, shake it… shake it… uh oh!
Dude, those flowers are hott.
Green grass and sunlight in the hair… (sigh) Ah, summer.

Beautiful flowers! Shake that ash!!!
I see you, baby, shaking your ash! What lovely ash it is, too! The kids look lovely, happy, and they’re both growing so quickly. Summers in Maine look so idyllic.
I never knew that a little ash-shaking was so good for the garden. :p
I love the pics of Roo and Jesse. You take wonderful photographs, and it doesn’t hurt that you have such gorgeous material to work with.
lovely pictures!
Georgia O’Keefe knew it.
Your garden is FABULOUS! Those babies are so beautiful.
Happy Solstice!
Blessed Be
Your pictures have the most calming effect. Your garden looks like what I imagine my paradise to be.
roo in pony tails = killer cute.
also, does ash work for other things, or just cucumber beetles. I have Japanese beetles that show up every july and I am dreading their return.
ryc: thank you! I wish the colors showed up better. Its very purple and gold.
i second the ‘roo has grown a lot’ and the ‘you are my hero’
but ya Keep makin me CRY! i swear these people are going to think im nuts…
i suppose… i could just shake my ash at them…
Shake it, Baby!!!!!! (-:
OH Julie…these photos are stunning!!! (especially of the kids!!!) DId you use a fill flash on the ones of Roo, or was that natural sunlight? Just stunning!!!! I get a kick out of Jesse’s pogo stick shot!
Umm…spinach and chives! And cabbages, yes? GO cucumbers (and relateds), go!
love them! Thanks ..isnt the 3d thing neat?
That iris is especially sassy! The way the petals fall reminds me of a bra strap slipping off, or a leg dangling.
crunchy, no fill flash (I will do backflips to avoid using it, I so prefer the natural light :p)
Dd and I loved looking at your pictures. She thought the spider was cool. :goodjob:
I love the life style you’ve chosen to raise your children. They are so cute! love the pictures
