    Greetings From Dorkville

It has been raining for days.

The kids do not want to play with me in it because they don’t want to get soggy.

“it’s wet out there Mommy, we want to play inside!”

(the pic below is at a friend’s house)

O.K. then, see you in a bit

(you know where you can find me)

    Mommy needs to play too.

  • It’s been pouring here all weekend, too.

  • Now, that it just like me.  Except completely drenched.  I need to find a way to attach wipers to my glasses!!  Thanks for adding me, and that is really cool that our boys share a birthday.  Todd is 10-03, Luc is 10-06, mine is 10-10, and my only nephew is 10-14.  My boys like having Halloween themed parties with everyone in costume.  It’s a lot of work, though.

maybe its yours too!? ; )

  • oh julie. im sorry you have to deal with unsupportive people and negative advice. im glad you look like some peace washed over you in the rain. soon trevor will return and you will once again have a partner to share the joy [and not so joyful] things about parenting [like pee].

  • You look cuter than the kids this time!

  • I LOVE rainy days. I get depressed if there are too many sunny days in a row. Weird, I know. My brother is the same way. Thunderstorms are the best. I love to curl up under a blanket, read a book and have some tea! Bliss! When I was a kid, it was all about wearing the galoshes and puddle stomping!

  • Yea! Jumping in puddles! I would jump in puddles with you.

I’m with tinybutterfly. I don’t like too many sunny days in a row. I start to hide from the sunshine, and the feeling that I’m supposed to be doing something productive.

  • Ahhh…gimmie some of that rain! (-: Can you hold your new camera out for a self-portrait like that??? I want one! (-:

Sure, I’ll be right over to help with your floor! That last uphill grind of a (very physical, fume-y) project…ugh! C’Mon Everyone, let’s help Julie finish her floor! I’ll bring some peach iced tea and some hummus……

  • we had rain this weekend too…but with the right rain boots and rain jackets, the kids didn’t seem to mind going in the puddles and putting their heads under the waterfalls that were streaming from the roof!!!
and when I had one too, I didn’t mind either…but a nice warm bath after that with tea and cookies was pretty good too…

  • you are such a free spirit. i really admire that about you!

  • You are so much fun!

  • Fun!!! I love being out in the rain too. I swear!! Your son is forever without a shirt. LOL

  • :giggle:  Oh, I love playing in the rain!

  • I owe you a CALLL!!! Sorry, I’ve been wrapped up with G and anniversary celebrating and getting my entire new thing and life together. :)   I’m hoping you’ll forgive me.

    And aren’t families fun???  :giggle:

  • Hey, are you having trouble with your xanga today?  I can’t get rich text format and I can’t edit and my pictures are loading funny… and no border options for the pictures!  WTF?

  • Ah,  a kindred spirit.  I too love the rain (and even the mud)  :)
