It’s Raining It’s Pouring but Life is Never Boring
(our last two days in pictures)
*****
Jesse discovered that paint and glitter make a living glove
(he’s so “glam”)
Roo discovered blue
we went out for ice cream
because it was rainingbecause we LOVE IT!!!(never eat any amount larger than your own skull)
I drooled over the salt shaker at Dairy Whip
when the rain stopped, we blew bubbles and chased them
we praised the sun
I discovered an exercise in patience
and admired the pansies
The earth was damp and I could smell the root of everything.
What did you discover today?
“It’s the way to educate your eyes. Stare, pry, listen, eavesdrop.
Die knowing something. You are not here long.”

I discovered that my pants are systematically shrinking. I think it’s some kind of weird disease. It has to be that and not some other reason, like the fact that my waist could be growing or anything. Definately a case of pant shrinkmonia.
I discovered that frosting comes in 500 different colors…so does ice cream. I also discovered a leaf in Sage’s poopy diaper…hmmmm…..(not quite what you were going for, huh?)
What a fantastic day!
I discovered that (among other things) whenever I get extra dressed up for a meeting I will inevitably ruin my shirt two minutes before the meeting begins.
That I am pregnant.
I discovered that even when a meal did not turn out REMOTELY like it’s supposed to according to the book, you can always add some veggies, rice and water and make soup and it can be DAMN tasty!
I love pansies!
That I can squat for two and half hours when needed…in the garden!
I love that salt shaker!
I discovered that cloth pads are not as easy to get clean as you are led to believe. >:/ (This is supposed to be an irritated smiley)
I also discovered that my RL friends all think I’m pathetic (will probably blog about this later).
Looks like you guys had an awesome day! Only you could manage to take such an awesome photo of a bubble.
I discovered that dried snot looks very like a sugar glaze.
I love you! The pics are lovely as always.
I discovered my opera voice isn’t as pleasing to my kids as it is to me!
Love Jesses’s glove and that salt shaker too!
I discovered that H. knows how to make this really grumpy looking face and then start laughing about it. Not sure what I should think of that…..
We discovered that bees like to hop from one flower to another and that ants are very, very busy. We also discovered that the wind constantly changes so the bubbles you are blowing go right back in your face.
Silly wind.
Beautiful photos, the bubble one is amazing. I love the glitter glove, though I must confess that I am glitter-phobic. That stuff gets into everything and I’ll find it for weeks after the kids have played with it.
Man, that cone Jesse is about to devour look gooooooood. *drool*
love the quote. makes me think about when I have newborns and I just stare and smile and drool…actually I still do that with my babies…and they’re getting big….gah…
sounds like a great way to spend a couple of days. i would have stolen that salt shaker, haha but that’s just me
I discovered that my kids like warm brownies. What a shock.
Glitter gives me the screaming heebies, due to its determination to work itself into my EYE. At least, I imagine that it has that determination.
I discovered that sometimes the best toys are the ones that have been buried in the attic
Glitter, paint, ice cream, and bubbles! What’s not to love there?
That salt shaker is so cool.
I discovered that the PMS munchies are a bummer (Ok rediscovered lol), and that I wish I had a tiny little farm somewhere.
Congratualtions girl in pictures xx
Julie I doscovered that the summer migrants the swifts are back. I sit each evening at dusk and breathe in their beauty, that and that I do feel so much happier when the weather is warmer!
Oh and I also discovered that I really loathe buses as one failed to turn up, forcing me and my daughter to pay extra for another that took an even longer 54 mins to get us home, smelly and hot. Yeuch!
I discovered that I can give myself a really good foot rub.
You guys just have soo much fun!
Your blog title should be “The Wonderful Life of Julie.” I’m so doing that glitter glove thing.
thank you
Roo’s face is adorable, completely!
Simply wonderful! As for discovering things lately…I found that if you allow your children to swim in the Clinton River that the stains WILL NOT come out of their clothes. Not sure how I feel about that one yet. lol And I discovered that nothing is MacKenna’s fault….even if I witness her pulling on the dog’s ears with my own eyes….its still Joey’s fault in her eyes. LOL
I saw a beautiful star over a lake.
