Keep Walking
*****
Keep Walking, though there’s no place to get to.
Don’t try to see through the distances. That’s not for human beings.
Move within, but don’t move the way fear makes you move.
Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened.
Don’t open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical
instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
there are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss
the ground.

Aaaaaahhhhh.
And, I’m first! I’m first!
I want to come to Maine for a month and breathe the air, walk in the fields, and just “be.” The pictures are lovely. Perfect viewing for my coffee!
beautiful spring you are having!
Your blog is like a breath of fresh, pure air julie persons. I’m Kim from Indiana, don’t have a blog, but sure love yours. Blessings to you and your precious family!
beautiful pictures and a powerful poem. Rumi, has it right,
and it seems you found great ways to kneel and kiss the ground with your lovely spring flowers- i’m guessing they are from your own garden? i have no green thumb, but I wish i could grow flowers like that!
What cool photos! I have never even seen flowers like those.
So last night I had a dream that I went to Maine and my friend Dante was a mail carrier in the woods and he carried his son in a backpack carrier while he was delivering the mail (he doesn’t even have kids in real life) and I said to myself, “While I’m here in Maine I should go visit Julie” LOL
Dear Julie,
One of the drawbacks to running the Internet Island blogring, of which you are member, is that with over 125 members I rarely get around to “visit” everyone. I tend to spend more time with those who comment on my blog and who participate in the topic posts, of which I don’t believe I’ve seen your moniker for a while. Topic Post 10 can be found here. I do know I have visited here before, I really like your photography.
The “walking with Roo” slideshow was just delightful. My first actual “slideshow” with the photos edited to the beat of the music, can be found here.
Your photos of the flowers in this post are amazing. Makes me want to get a better camera. I spent over 1200 dollars for my digital video/still cam but the still section only takes 1GIG photos, whrere a 4 or 5 gig is better for detailed stills. Oh well, perhaps someday I’ll be able to “save enough” to get a new one.
I had a nice visit.

This post absolutely stirs my soul… I have been seeking peace today…relaxation, beauty, nature… Thank you so much for sharing! I love the pictures, everything is perfect and fitting…
beautiful. beautiful. beautiful. i just love your posts. big fat smiley puffy heart.
Beautiful! I love the photos! Blessed Be
I especially like the first one — it looks like the berry (??) is being embraced.
Thank you for continuing to share the beauty inside and all around you… that first picture reminds me of fresh newborn.
I love them all too but agree the first one is poetic…just beautiful.
There is nothing quite like the words of Rumi. Gorgeous pictures!
Oh those are gorgeous! And that is just what we did today…..walked and walked and snapped shots of the beauty around us.
Beautiful photos! I love spring.
It’s so inspiring how you just love life, even the smallest details you soak in. That’s awesome.
The last two lines of that poem can also be used as a beautiful chant. Siing the words again helps me to recall some beautiful moments honouring the sacred in the company of others.
I wish I could sing it for you.
Yes, they are all beautiful.
Wow, talk about synchronicity, only 2 days agao I found that on a website and thought it lovely so sent it to my sister and myself!!!

Wow. You have a gift. Those are lovely photos, and they remind me of Georgia O’Keefe’s quote, about how it takes time to SEE a flower. Lovely. Really lovely. Lisa
